- Video technology: I was one of the first people I know who purchased a digital video camera. And, I was editing videos and making DVDs long before anyone else around me.
- Computer technology: My kids had a computer at home when that was quite the novelty. Our home was networked before others could pronounce "Cat-5 Cable." And, we were wireless before it became the current fad.

Exceptions
It occurs to me that there are two exceptions to my technology laggardness:
Joining the 21st century
Okay, okay, okay. With everyone else in the 21st century doing a blog, I suppose I'd better get with the program. It's strange that I'm a "technology laggard," when I get my living from High Tech. I didn't buy a PDA or iPod until the third or fourth generation of the units. Our friends had cell phones before we did. And, even though I'm an avid photographer, I just recently obtained a digital SLR -- again, the third or fourth generation of cameras used for serious digital photography.
Oh well. At least I get my technology at fourth generation prices! Translation: cheap(er)! :-)
